Have you ever noticed how many times you get distracted a day? Have you noticed how hard it is to find your focus again?
Experts say that you can lose up to 23 minutes of work time EACH TIME you are distracted. I think distraction has a lot to answer for when it comes to productivity, and how to find your focus again quickly can make a massive impact on your to do list.
When I’m easily distracted, it’s usually because I don’t have clarity. I know what I have to do, but I don’t know exactly where to start, or I’m just thinking about my task in general terms, not specifics.
This is usually evident in the Facebook checking, email checking, Facebook checking, fridge snacking, Facebook checking behaviour, that gets me absolutely nowhere. (I’m pretty sure that’s not just me!)
The trick here is to be aware of this, because as soon as you become aware of your flitting around, you can very quickly nail it down and get precision like focus with my absolute power strategy…
How to find your Focus Again
I tried it again today, hence the video, because I was getting so frustrated with myself, and since I did it, I’ve recorded the video, posted in my Facebook groups, written 4 blog posts, cooked dinner and bathed two kids!
I just needed the centring of the music to find my focus again, and boy is it powerful.
