My Top Tips to Stay Productive, Even if you’ve been up all night with a teething child
I remember some of those LOOONG nights sitting up with one of my girls, and feeling so stressed about
- why did they have to chose this night to be sick, when I have such a big day tomorrow
- why they won’t just go to sleep, so that I can get some sleep
- the big meeting I have that I have to prepare for, and now I’ll be so tired for it and won’t be at my best to be able to negotiate my point
- how much I have to do before the weekend – don’t you know that I had planned to do it all tomorrow and now I’m going to be so tired…
All of these thoughts would go through my head, and I would get so stressed about it – despite the fact that the day hadn’t even happened yet – catastrophising really!
Still, it’s never easy to back up an all-nighter with a busy day.
So this week’s Balance & Business For Online Mums Episode is about How to get things done even when you’ve been up all night. It’s really about pulling it back to basics.
This list of 8 Tips cover being productive, managing stress and self care – all of which you need when you have a big list and are really tired! Hope you enjoy it.
Number 7 is one of my favourites, but yes – all of these things help reduce the stress when time is tight and your body is exhausted!
How about you? Do you do some of these tips? or all of them? What other strategies do you have in place for the lack of energy and total exhaustion days?
I’d love to know, so add them in the comments below
