You know how yucky it feels when your house is a mess? It’s overwhelming, you don’t know where to start, you can’t think straight. Well, that’s why online organisation is so important. Everything you keep in your head, and on your computer can feel exactly the same when it’s all in chaos.
Here’s one example of feeling overwhelmed because of clutter and mess:You can imagine that when I saw walked in to the room on the left, I literally had to walk out again. It was a No Go Zone! I couldn’t even think straight, or see how to tackle it. I came back half an hour later and set to work – with some very sheepish helpers – and you can see the difference on the right. There is space to move, and space to create and play again.
Your brain, and your mental clutter is exactly the same, and online chaos is contributing to this too.

Here are a few signs that you may be digitally disorganised:
– you can’t remember where you save files
– you have WAY to many tabs open in your browser (like 30+), and you can’t remember which one is which
– you have Inbox Overwhelm, and feel stressed every time you go into your email
– you don’t have any structure to saving your files, so there are files in Dropbox, GoogleDrive, your hard drive, and on several USB’s
– you have lots of apps and programs, but don’t really use many and feel confused about which one to use when
If you can tick some or all of these areas, then the mental overwhelm of carrying all of this around with you is making it harder for your business to flow with ease.
