Everyone I talk to lately is overwhelmed, and their mental load is through the roof. There are too many tabs open, too many to do’s, too many things to remember, and we are all moving too fast!

In my own experience, I feel like this leaves us working harder, feeling stuck, second guessing ourselves, constantly scanning our brain in case we’ve forgotten something – and living in fear that we have forgotten something. Hello, waking up at 3am remembering what it is!

In today’s episode of The Business Efficiency Podcast, I want to tackle 5 tips to reduce your mental load.
The first 3 tips here are really practical – about literally reducing the amount of information you are holding in your head, and some ideas about how to park it somewhere easily. I also take a look at the impact of double handling tasks, or not finishing things, which adds extra pressure to have to remember to find more time to complete them, or follow them up.

The final 2 tips look deeper into strategies to help you reduce it by adding more fun – yes taking down time is a great productivity strategy even if it’s counterproductive, or reducing the expectations we put on ourselves.

I share a few tips and examples of how these have impacted me lately.
Listen in and see how you can reduce your mental load, get organised and get that ease back.

Hi I'm Aerlie

Thankyou for tuning in to the Unload Podcast.

I have over 10 years experience in supporting clients to improve their efficiency, reduce overwhelm and organise their business operations effectively. I specialise in setting up project management platforms such as ClickUp and Asana for tracking and reporting your business operations, documenting processes and improving you and your team's productivity and collaboration.

I know that business owner's find it difficult to step out of the chaos and day to day running of their business, despite all of the other plans they have. Getting these foundations set up and running efficiently are the best way for you to grow your business to the next level. Reducing the mental load so that there is more space for action taking, problem solving and ideas is what I'm passionate about.

I live and work in the gorgeous Adelaide Hills and am a mum to two girls.

Acknowledgement of country

I acknowledge that I undertake my business on the land of the Peramangk and Kaurna Nations.

I acknowledge their deeply spiritual connection with Country and I pay my respect to Elder's past, present and future as the custodians of this ancient and beautiful land.
